Once you’ve placed your order, we aim to have your business up and running within around 14 days. Our team will be in touch to confirm the installation details and schedule a time that works for you. We’ll do everything we can to make the switch seamless, with minimal disruption to your day-to-day.

What if my small business is still under contract with another provider?

If your small business is still under contract with another provider, our Switching Credit can help cover any early cancellation fees up to £200. This means you won’t have to pay those costs out of pocket when switching to GoFibre.

When placing your order, simply let us know you want to use the Switching Credit. After your order is confirmed, we’ll provide instructions on how to submit the necessary documents to apply for the credit.

Can I keep my business number?

Yes, if you’re adding a landline to your plan, we can transfer your current number for a one-off fee of £30. That means there’s no need to update your business cards or notify customers. You stay connected with your existing number, and the switch is smooth and simple so you can focus on running your business.

What is a static IP, and do I need one?

A static IP is a fixed address assigned to your business internet connection. Unlike a dynamic IP, which can change over time, a static IP stays the same every time you connect.

You might need a static IP if your business hosts a website, server, or email system on-site; runs CCTV or security systems you want to monitor remotely; uses remote desktop access for off-site employees; connects to VPNs or private networks; relies on VoIP phone systems; runs cloud-based applications that need secure, fixed access; or manages smart devices and systems that require remote control.

Can I move my broadband if my business relocates?

If your small business is moving, you may be able to take your GoFibre connection with you, provided we offer service at your new address. Be sure to check your postcode to confirm availability.

If full fibre is already installed at your new business location, we’ll switch your service on the agreed date without any extra installation work.

If GoFibre is available but requires installation at your new premises, please let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange the setup. Usually, a standard installation is all that’s needed, and we aim to have you connected within 14 days.

To keep things simple, you can choose to start a new 24- or 36-month contract at your new business address, or opt to pay a move fee (detailed in our Standard Tariffs) to transfer your existing plan without changing your contract length.
