We're all about community

At GoFibre, we are on a mission to bring future-proof digital connectivity to rural and underserved communities who have largely been left behind to date when it comes to digital infrastructure upgrades.

GoFibre’s commitment to social value

As part of our efforts to bridge the digital divide and make a real difference, social value is something we feel incredibly passionate about. Giving back to the communities we are operating in and leaving a legacy behind, beyond just the fibre in the ground, is what it’s all about for us, providing motivation for the entire GoFibre team on a daily basis. Being a broadband builder and provider across Scotland and the north of England, we often get approached about lending our support to local causes and that’s exactly why we created the GoFurther Fund.

Adding value where it matters

In July 2023, to coincide with our network reaching 50,000 premises, we launched a £50,000 fund to aid vital projects and groups across three of our build locations - East Lothian, Fife and the Scottish Borders. Not only are we experiencing a cost of living crisis but funds for such groups are few and far between right now so we wanted to add value where it would matter.

We're making a difference

Our social value strategy touches everything from local job creation to delivering informative and inspiring career talks, showcasing the fibre industry to the next generation of workers.
Neil Conaghan, GoFibre’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “At GoFibre, it’s about more than handing out a cheque every now and then. We love collaborating with local groups and causes, establishing a lasting relationship whereby we get to know them and the individual needs of the local community".
