Haddington is a community full of energy, creativity, and spirit. We’re here to support the people who live, work, and grow here by helping local projects and causes that matter most to them.
Through our GoFurther Fund, launched in 2023, we’ve awarded grants of up to £3,000 to local causes that make a real difference. This includes charities like Into Work, which supports people with neurodiversity, disabilities, and mental health challenges across Edinburgh, East, and Midlothian, and The Bridges Project, a youth work charity helping disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in the region.
We’ve also helped connect schools and nurseries across East Lothian, to fast, reliable full fibre broadband. This means students, teachers, and families have the internet they need to learn, work, and stay connected every day.
Reliable broadband also plays a key role in making local events happen. Haddstock, Haddington’s arts and live music festival, has grown into a major celebration, drawing thousands of people to venues across the town. It brings people together, supports local talent, and gives the community access to incredible cultural experiences without needing to travel into the city. Behind the scenes, it relies on strong internet connections to make it all work - planning, communication, promotion, and coordination all depend on it.
At the end of the day, it’s about helping Haddington and the surrounding communities grow stronger and making sure everyone has the tools to succeed.
