Switching credit: We’ll cover your broadband exit fees up to £200

Stuck in contract? You can leave your current broadband contract early and switch to GoFibre without paying a penny! We offer a switching credit of up to £200 to cover any cancellation fees.

What is the switching credit scheme?

To make your switch easier, we're offering a switching credit of up to £200 which you can put towards any cancellation charges from your current provider.

How do I claim switching credit?

When placing an online order with us, you'll have the option to opt in for switching credit – just select 'Yes'. Or, if you prefer a chat, you can contact us and one of our friendly sales team members will be happy to help you claim it when you order.

Once you have opted in and placed your order, we will ask you to send the documents below to switching@gofibre.co.uk:

  • Your name and address.
  • Your GoFibre account number.
  • A copy of the final bill from your previous provider showing the early termination charges.
  • Confirmation that the early termination charges have been paid – this could be a copy of a bank or credit card statement showing the relevant payment (you can redact all other info).

After we process your claim, the switching credit will be added to your GoFibre account, and we’ll apply it to lower your monthly payments for your full fibre plan or any add-ons, like Wi-Fi extenders, Balanced Broadband or Call Plan +, until it’s all used up.

How long do I have to submit my claim?

To make sure you receive your switching credit, just send us the required information within 90 days of activating your GoFibre account. If we don’t receive it within that time, we may not be able to process your application.

How will I receive the credit, and how much will I get?

If you’ve paid any early cancellation fees to your old provider, we’ll cover the cost up to £200. So, if your fees were £150, we’ll happily reimburse you the full amount. If your old provider charges more than £200, the switching credit will be capped at £200.

You will receive the switching credit applied to your GoFibre account. From there, we’ll use it to reduce your monthly payments for your full fibre plan or any adds-on, like Wi-Fi extenders, until the credit is fully used. The credit doesn’t cover one-off charges like engineering fees.

When will I receive it?

Once you’ve submitted your application, we’ll get to work on it right away! GoFibre will review and process everything within 7 days. You’ll get an email to let you know the status of your claim, and if it’s all good to go, we’ll also confirm that your switching credit has been added to your GoFibre account.

Who can claim the switching credit?

Anyone who switches their broadband provider to GoFibre and incurs early termination fees to break their current contract is eligible for up to £200 in switching credit. Just a heads up: your current provider might call these fees cancellation, cessation, contract break, or service termination charges.
