When you sign up for GoFibre full fibre, we send you a main router (for free!) with built-in mesh technology.
But if you’ve got rooms where Wi-Fi just won’t reach—whether it’s because of a big home, multiple floors, or thick walls blocking the signal—you might run into frustrating dead zones. That’s where Enhanced Wi-Fi comes in.
Enhanced Wi-Fi is an add-on you can add to your plan, giving you extra routers that work together with your main one to create a mesh network—delivering fast, reliable Wi-Fi to every corner of your home.
Just add the Enhanced Wi-Fi add-on to your plan when booking online or over the phone, and we’ll send you one extra router (or more if you need more) for £5/month.
These extra routers join forces with your main one to create a mesh network—a smarter, more reliable way to keep Wi-Fi running at full speed everywhere.
What is a mesh network?
A mesh network is a system where multiple routers work together to spread Wi-Fi evenly throughout your home. The main router (provided for free when you sign up for GoFibre) connects to your internet service, and additional routers (available with the Enhanced Wi-Fi add-on) connect to the main router and to each other, forming a 'mesh.' This system ensures a strong, reliable Wi-Fi signal in all areas, even those that previously had weak or no signal at all. It’s ideal for eliminating dead zones and ensuring ultra-reliable Wi-Fi performance. Wi-Fi extenders address the same issue, but mesh systems offer a more modern and efficient solution.
