Broadband for charities

Keep your charity connected with fast, reliable full fibre broadband - specially priced for charities to help streamline operations and maximise your impact.

Full fibre at a special price for charities

When you’re running a charity, every penny and every minute counts. Unreliable internet can slow down fundraising, volunteer coordination, and the services people rely on. That’s why we offer charity-only pricing on ultra-fast full fibre (call us on 0800 059 0980 to know more), so you can do more good, with less friction.

What you get:

  • Full fibre for stable, reliable performance at a reduced price (call us on 0800 059 0980 to know more)
  • A free Wi-Fi 6 router with mesh capabilities for strong coverage across your space
  • Sympathetic, UK-based support that understands how charities work

Choose the speed that fits your organisation:

  • GoFibre 150: 150Mbps download / 30Mbps upload; Ideal for small teams, email, web, basic cloud tools.
  • GoFibre 300: 300Mbps download / 300Mbps upload; Great for HD video calls, shared drives, fundraising platforms.
  • GoFibre 500: 500Mbps download / 500Mbps upload; For larger teams, multiple users, frequent large file sharing.
  • GoFibre MAX: 1000Mbps (1Gbps) download / 1000Mbps upload; Best for busy hubs, media-heavy work, or future-proofing.

Why full fibre helps:

A reliable, high-speed connection means your charity can work without limits. Video meetings with partners and volunteers run smoothly, so you can stay connected and collaborative no matter where your people are. Uploading marketing assets, campaign materials, and reports becomes quick and effortless, helping you share your work with funders and supporters in record time. And with consistent access to the cloud tools you depend on, there’s no frustrating downtime, just a stable connection that keeps your operations moving forward.

Upgrade your connection to meet your charity’s needs

Every charity operates differently, some coordinate volunteers across the country, others run busy community hubs. Your broadband should be flexible enough to support the way you work. Our optional add-ons help you tailor your connection so it truly fits your organisation’s needs:

  • Digital landline: Keep phone calls at the heart of your work by adding a landline service over your broadband connection, with the option to keep your existing number for a one-off £30 transfer fee.
  • Upload speed boost: Ideal for charities that regularly upload large files, host live video events, or depend on cloud-based platforms that require strong two-way data flow.
  • Antivirus internet protection: Safeguard sensitive data and protect every connected device, giving your team peace of mind while working online.
  • Enhanced coverage: Eliminate dead zones in larger or older buildings, ensuring stable Wi-Fi reaches every corner of your workspace.
  • Wi-Fi controls: Prioritise bandwidth for critical work like video calls or database syncing, keeping your most important tasks uninterrupted.
  • Advanced router upgrade: Get extra power and range with a Wi-Fi 6 mesh router that supports more simultaneous connections, perfect for bigger teams or complex layouts.

*Please note that while the full fibre broadband itself is offered at a special charity rate, prices for optional add-ons are charged at our standard rates.

Already in a contract? We pay your cancellation fees!

Worried about leaving your current provider early? Don’t be. When you switch to GoFibre's broadband, we’ll cover up to £200 in early termination fees, so you won’t be out of pocket.

When you place your charity broadband order over the phone, just let our team know you'd like to opt in for Switching Credit. Then, to complete your claim, email the following to switching@gofibre.co.uk:

  • Your full name and address
  • Your GoFibre account number
  • A copy of your final bill from your previous provider showing the early exit charges
  • Proof of payment for those charges (a bank or credit card statement is fine)

Once we’ve processed your documents, we’ll apply the Switching Credit directly to your GoFibre account. This credit will reduce your monthly payments on your broadband plan or any eligible add-ons until the full amount is used.

You can read more about how Switching Credit works here. It's the same process we use for residential customers, but with charity broadband, you simply place your order by phone.

To make things even easier, we also use the One Touch Switch system. Once your order is confirmed, we’ll notify your old provider and take care of the rest.

Charity broadband case study

At the heart of Selkirk, The General Store is a social enterprise with a mission: to reduce landfill and empower the community through repair, reuse, and support. From mending laptops to helping older customers get to grips with their tech, the organisation is built on making things last, not replacing them.

As a charity, The General Store was able to benefit from GoFibre’s broadband for charities, unlocking fast, reliable full fibre at a lower cost. Before the switch, slow internet made it difficult to juggle repairs, downloads, and customer support across their two premises and 18-strong team.

“Multitasking is now possible, and it wasn’t before,” said founder Sue Briggs. “We can fix laptops, download software, support a customer with WhatsApp, and run our shop all at the same time. It’s made a huge difference to how we operate.”

The improved connection didn’t just make the day-to-day easier, it helped them expand. They now run a tool library, a computer clinic, and even take their services on the road to reach more people. Whether helping someone borrow a drill or troubleshoot a tablet, they can now support more of the community, more effectively.

GoFibre’s full fibre broadband for charities gave them more than speed, it gave them the tools to grow, adapt, and serve Selkirk in new ways.

Supporting charities

Charities play a vital role in creating stronger, more connected communities, and they deserve meaningful support to keep doing what they do best. Alongside offering discounted broadband packages to help charities stay connected and reduce operational costs, we also invest directly in the people and projects driving local change. That’s why, in July 2023, we launched the £50,000 GoFurther Fund to support charities and organisations making a real impact in the areas we’re connecting. The fund provides grants to help charities grow, adapt and support more people.

The first round supported five organisations across East Lothian, Fife, and the Scottish Borders, including Tartan Talkers, a men’s mental health and suicide prevention charity; Into Work, an employability charity helping people with neurodiversity, disabilities, and mental health challenges; Heids & Herts, which fosters social connection; Escape Youth Services, offering drop-in support for young people aged 8 to 19; and The Bridges Project, a youth-work charity providing tailored support for disadvantaged young people.
