Enhanced Wi-Fi set-up
This page will help you set-up your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router or GoFibre extender.

Firstly, before we help you with your set-up, we need to identify the GoFibre router that you are using. Please identify the GoFibre router you have from the images below to find the steps you should follow to set-up your GoFibre extenders.
Standard router
If you have a GoFibre standard router that looks likes the below then please use the steps below.

With this router, you will be using Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router. This mesh router looks exactly the same but has less ports on the back (see below).

Steps to set-up an Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router with a Standard Router
Firstly, place your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router near to your GoFibre Standard router. On the back of your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router (image below), plug in the power adapter to the power port and plug it into a power socket. It might take a few minutes to power on.

When the GoFibre extender light on the back of your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router is flashing red, you can pair your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router with your GoFibre router.

To begin the pairing process, press and hold the WPS buttons on your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and your GoFibre Standard router (as show below) for 3 seconds each (less than 30 seconds apart). This will create a wireless connection between your GoFibre router and Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router.

The lights on the back of both your main router and mesh router will flash green while attempting to pair.

Once your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and GoFibre Standard router are successfully paired, the light on your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and GoFibre Standard router will both show a solid green colour. This may take several minutes.

Your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and GoFibre Standard router are now successfully paired and connected to each other.
Next, you can unplug your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and place it near to where you would like to extend your GoFibre broadband to. You should do this halfway between where your GoFibre Standard router is and the room(s) you want to extend your GoFibre broadband to.
Success! Your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router will now be connected to the internet and you can now connect your devices. You will now be able to enjoy GoFibre’s Enhanced Wi-Fi service!
If you have 2 or more Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router, please repeat these steps to connect each of them.
If this does not set-up your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router then please try these steps again. If you are unable to set-up your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router then please contact us and we will help you set them up.
Advanced Router
If you have a GoFibre Advanced router which looks likes the below then please use these steps.

The Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router you should be using with the GoFibre Advanced router looks like the below. If you have a different Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router then please contact us.

Steps to set-up an Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router with an Advanced Router
Firstly, place your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router near to your GoFibre Advanced router. On the back of your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router (image below), plug in the power adapter to the power port and plug it into a power socket. Your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router might take a few minutes to power on.

When the light on the back of your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router is flashing red, you can pair your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router with your GoFibre Advanced router.

To begin the pairing process, press and hold the WPS buttons on your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router (as show in the image below) and your GoFibre Advanced router (also shown below) for 3 seconds each (less than 30 seconds apart). This will create a wireless connection between your GoFibre Advanced router and Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router.

The lights on the front of your GoFibre Advanced router and the back of your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router will flash green while attempting to pair.

Once your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and GoFibre Advanced router are successfully paired, the light on your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and GoFibre Advanced router will both show a solid green colour. This may take several minutes.
Your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and GoFibre Advanced router are now successfully paired and connected to each other.
Next, you can unplug your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router and plug it in near to where you would like to extend your GoFibre broadband to. You should do this halfway between where your GoFibre Advanced router is and the room(s) you want to extend your GoFibre broadband to.
Success! Your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router will now be connected to the internet and you can now connect your devices. You will now be able to enjoy GoFibre’s Enhanced Wi-Fi service!
If you have 2 or more Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh routers, please repeat these steps to connect each of them.
If this does not set-up your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router then please try these steps again. If you are unable to set-up your Enhanced Wi-Fi mesh router then please contact us and we will help you set them up.
GoFibre Zyxel router
If your GoFibre router looks like this then please use these steps.

The GoFibre extender you should be using with this router is below. If this is not the GoFibre extender we have sent you then please contact us.

Steps to set-up GoFibre extenders with a GoFibre Zyxel router
Before positioning the GoFibre extender in your home, you first need to pair it to your GoFibre router. You will need to be close to your router to complete this step.
On the back of your GoFibre extender, plug in the power adapter to the power port and turn on your GoFibre extender by pushing the power button. Your GoFibre extender should take around 2 minutes to power on, and when ready, the power LED on the front of will light up green.
- Tip: Power LED not lighting up green? Check the power button on the back of the extender is in the ‘pushed in’ position.

Use the included Ethernet cable to connect your GoFibre extender using the LAN port to one of the yellow LAN ports on your GoFibre router.

Please keep the ethernet cable connected between your GoFibre router and extender until both the POWER and LINK LEDs on the front of your GoFibre extender are steady green.

Once the POWER and LINK LEDs have lit up steady green, unplug the ethernet and power cables from your GoFibre extender.
Next, place your GoFibre Extender near to where you would like to extend your GoFibre broadband to.
Plug the power adapter back into the GoFibre Extender and wait for the POWER and LINK lights to go green. Make sure your LINK light is steady green.
- If the LINK light is amber, this means that your GoFibre extender is too close to your GoFibre router. Try moving it a little further away.
- If the LINK light is red, this means that your GoFibre extender is too far away from your GoFibre router. Try moving it a little closer.

Success! Your GoFibre extender will now be connected to the internet and you can now connect your devices. You will now be able to enjoy your GoFibre Enhanced Wi-Fi service!
If you have 2 or more GoFibre extenders, please repeat these steps to connect each of them.
